וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹושֻׁ֨עַ֙ מֶ֣ה עֲכַרְתָּ֔נוּ יַעְכֳּרְךָ֥ יְהוָ֖ה בַּיֹּ֣ום הַזֶּ֑ה וַיִּרְגְּמ֨וּ אֹתֹ֤ו כָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֶ֔בֶן וַיִּשְׂרְפ֤וּ אֹתָם֙ בָּאֵ֔שׁ וַיִּסְקְל֥וּ אֹתָ֖ם בָּאֲבָנִֽים׃
