וַיֹּאמֶר֩ מַלְאַ֨ךְ יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־מָנֹ֗וחַ אִם־תַּעְצְרֵ֨נִי֙ לֹא־אֹכַ֣ל בְּלַחְמֶ֔ךָ וְאִם־תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה עֹלָ֔ה לַיהוָ֖ה תַּעֲלֶ֑נָּה כִּ֚י לֹא־יָדַ֣ע מָנֹ֔וחַ כִּֽי־מַלְאַ֥ךְ יְהוָ֖ה הֽוּא׃
