וְלֹֽא־אֶקַּ֥ח אֶת־כָּל־הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה מִיָּדֹ֑ו כִּ֣י׀ נָשִׂ֣יא אֲשִׁתֶ֗נּוּ כֹּ֚ל יְמֵ֣י חַיָּ֔יו לְמַ֨עַן דָּוִ֤ד עַבְדִּי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּחַ֣רְתִּי אֹתֹ֔ו אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁמַ֖ר מִצְוֹתַ֥י וְחֻקֹּתָֽי׃
